Kocaman, who was transferred from Sakaryaspor in the 2021-2022 season, spent the last season on loan at Sakaryaspor. Ahead of the new season, he approached the Turkish Football Federation regarding his unpaid dues, and after failing to resolve the issue, he decided to leave Kayserispor. In a statement on social media, Kocaman expressed pride in being part of the Kayserispor community. He thanked the club for the love and support he received and wished success to Kayserispor and its fans in the future. With this departure, Kayserispor will need to make adjustments in its squad planning for the new season.
