Kayserispor has been hit with its fourth FIFA transfer ban due to an unpaid debt to former player Carlos Mané. The club confirmed the sanction in a written statement, citing the €75,000 owed to the Portuguese winger.
With this latest case, the total number of active FIFA transfer bans against the club has risen to four. "With this file, the total number of transfer bans on our club by FIFA has increased to four," the statement read. Mané's contract was terminated at the end of the previous season. The club added that it is carrying out the necessary work to have the bans lifted upon payment of the relevant dues.
Mané had previously filed three applications with FIFA regarding €70,000 in unpaid wages. One of these applications was reportedly resolved recently, with the remaining one expected to be settled soon.
