Kayserispor will send a message on awareness of Down syndrome before hosting İstanbulspor in the 1. Lig on Monday, 14 September 2026, at 20.00. The club announced that players from both sides will walk onto the pitch together with children who have Down syndrome as part of a pre-match ceremony.

A CEREMONY WITH A PURPOSE

In a statement, Kayserispor said, "as part of the ceremony to take place before the Kayserispor-İstanbulspor match kicking off on Monday, 14 September 2026 at 20.00, players from both teams will walk onto the pitch together with our children who have Down syndrome." The club called on residents of Kayseri and its own supporters to fill the stands and back the message.

FOOTBALL'S UNIFYING POWER

The club added, "we are aware not only on World Down Syndrome Day but at all times." Kayserispor stressed that this awareness belongs to every day of the year, not a single date.
