Kayserispor are preparing for a key three-match run before the international break as they aim to cement their lead at the top of the TFF 1. Lig. The Yellow-Reds target a perfect nine points from games against Pendikspor, Muğlaspor and Ümraniyespor to reach 35 points.

The team currently sits first with 26 points from 11 games, holding a one-point advantage over Bursaspor. Unbeaten in their last five league matches, including a 2-2 draw with Batman Petrolspor on 18 October, Kayserispor are determined to maintain their position. This challenging period starts with an away trip to Pendikspor on 25 October, includes a single home game against Muğlaspor on 2 November, and concludes with a visit to Ümraniyespor on 8 November.

Referred to the PFDK

Kayserispor have been referred to the Professional Football Discipline Committee by the Turkish Football Federation following last week's 2-2 draw with Batman Petrolspor. The TFF stated, "Kayserispor - Batman Petrolspor match has been referred to the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK)."

The federation noted that Kayserispor were referred under Article 53 for 'ugly and bad performance', Article 52 for 'field incidents', and Article 49 for 'irregular spectator attendance'. Opponents Batman Petrolspor were also referred under similar articles, while their technical director Selçuk Şahin faces disciplinary action for unsportsmanlike conduct starting from 19 October.

Critical stretch in title race

Amid this disciplinary process, the team's focus remains on the pitch. Kayserispor have one of the league's most potent attacks with 24 goals scored this season, spearheaded by top scorer Taulant Seferi who has nine goals. Their first opponent, Pendikspor, currently sits 17th in the league standings. The previous meeting between the two sides ended in a 2-1 defeat for Kayserispor back on 19 July. Winning all three matches would allow Kayserispor to enter the winter break in a significantly stronger position. The first step comes away at Pendikspor on Sunday, 25 October.
