Kayserispor has been hit with heavy sanctions by the Turkish Football Federation's Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) for incidents during their 1. Lig match against Manisa FK on October 10, 2026. The club was fined a total of 280,000 Turkish Lira for fan-related offenses, including obstructing banners and pitch invasions.
The PFDK ruled that Kayserispor be "penalized with a discretionary and consequential fine of 140,000 TL in accordance with Article 46/1 of the FDT due to non-compliance with instructions because banners were hung in the stands in a way that obstructed the view of spectators." An additional fine of 140,000 TL was imposed for pitch incidents caused by fans. Electronic ticket cards for fans in the North Stand North Lower D block have been blocked from entry for the club's next home match.
BANS FOR OFFICIALS
Club doctor Mehmet Karakuş received a 30,000 TL fine and a three-match ban from entering the dressing room and substitute bench for an alleged attack on opposing team personnel. The PFDK decision stated his punishment was "for the attack on opposing team members."
Club official Okan Akkaya was fined 25,000 TL and handed a 21-match ban for being in non-accredited areas and directing insults at opposing team staff. Officials Emre Çobanoğlu, Erdinç Çelik, and Mustafa Altun were each fined 25,000 TL for also being in non-accredited areas.
The disciplinary decisions present a financial and operational burden for Kayserispor as they continue their push at the top of the league. The team currently leads the 1. Lig standings with 25 points from 10 matches. They are unbeaten in their last five games, with a record of four wins and one draw (DWWWW). Their next fixture is away to 15th-placed Pendikspor on October 25.
