Trendyol 1. Lig leaders Kayserispor dropped two points in dramatic fashion, drawing 2-2 at Pendikspor after conceding a 90+6th-minute penalty. The match featured three spot-kicks and a red card for the home side.

Pendikspor took the lead in the 28th minute through a Jonson Clarke-Harris penalty. The first half ended with that scoreline. The match turned in the 55th minute when Pendikspor's Taha Emre İnce was sent off. Two minutes later, Kayserispor were awarded a penalty of their own, which Benhur Keser converted in the 58th minute to level the score at 1-1.

STOPPAGE-TIME DRAMA

Kayserispor thought they had snatched victory when Daniel Moreno put them 2-1 ahead in the 90+1st minute. However, in the 90+4th minute, Moreno was penalised for a handball following a VAR review, giving Pendikspor a late penalty. Substitute Muhammed Kiprit stepped up in the 90+6th minute and scored to secure a 2-2 draw for the ten-man hosts.

Kayserispor manager Atila Gerin told reporters after the match, "Unfortunately, two points have gone." The result means Kayserispor maintain their position at the top of the league with 27 points, but the gap to the chasing pack remains tight. The team's next league fixture is at home to Muğlaspor on Sunday, 1st November.

Kayserispor face a Türkiye Kupası third-round tie against Özgüzelderespor this week. The league's joint-top scorers with 24 goals from 12 matches, Kayserispor have taken three wins and two draws from their last five outings. Moreno's goal was his 5th of the campaign. The squad will need to manage its resources across both competitions in the coming weeks.
